Gary Weinberger

Gary Weinberger

Robert Weinberger began farming in 1946 eventually settling in Tulare county where he tended vineyards for 50+ years. His son, Gary Weinberger, continued the tradition. Gary graduated from Fresno State University. He worked for Dudley Ridge as a Technical Advisor. Gary started the company as Weinberger & Associates Agricultural Consulting in 1988. For many years, this company was run by Deborah and Gary Weinberger working together to build a client base.

He felt that a personal touch with great customer service was the key to his business. His business grew by word of mouth referrals. He never advertised. Eventually family and colleagues were enlisted as seasonal workers. As time went on, Gary began to develop a name for himself in tree crops and went on to become an expert in the field. Pistachios became his specialty. So much so that he has been called “Mr. Pistachio” in some circles. He has contributed to some publications. He was also very involved with research in order to be aware of the latest developments in Ag science.

Gary passed on his knowledge to his associates Todd Fukuda and Carla Baker as well as his children, Josh and Emily. In 2012 Gary felt that it was time to change the company name to Weinberger, Fukuda, & Associates Agricultural Consulting, Inc. in order to prepare the company for leadership under the future owner, Todd Fukuda. Gary and his wife, Deborah Weinberger retired in 2016. Now the company has grown to three permanent PCAs which includes one CCA and also a small admin staff. While the company has changed, its core values of customer service with a personal touch and belief in unbiased product recommendations is carried through to the next generation.
